Breakfast in Chatrium Grand Bangkok

Property building, Bird's-eye View in Chatrium Grand Bangkok
Chatrium Grand is brand new and a similar tower style property to the Chatrium Riverside in Bangkok. The staff were exceptional and a small point - in comparison to the Riverside - the elevators were incredibly quick and you never had to wait more than a few seconds on either ground floor or the 18th floor where we stayed. Breakfast was superbly presented and executed and the restaurant area was light, spacious and calm. The front-desk arranged a very good breakfast box on the day of our departure as we had an early flight before breakfast was served. The rooms were spotless and very well equipped. I unfortunately had an accidental fall in our room - I stumbled over the day chair on my way to the loo and fell head first into the coffee table. my wife found me in a pool of blood on the carpet at the foot of the bed with a nasty cut to my forehead. she phoned the front desk (5am) and within minutes first aid was with me and they quickly arranged for a taxi to the nearby hospital where I had 5 stitches in the cut and various tests and consultations. when I returned to the hotel the Duty Manager found me and wanted to make sure I was ok and if I needed anything to let him or his staff know. a short while later, a knock at the door and the housekeeping staff - who had cleaned our room incredibly - gave me some flowers and had all signed a Get Well Soon card! A really thoughtful, kind and lovely touch demonstrating the service levels at this hotel. Thank you.

The hotel was brand new so everything was shiny and clean. The hotel was very quiet as it's still getting recognised, so meant the pool and lounge weren't busy at all. Breakfast was still busy so be interested to see what that looks like when occupancy rates increase. The pool was incredible... probably my favourite in Bangkok. Sun all day but plenty of shaded areas. The free one-time minibar and welcome treats were a great touch. The staff were excellent, particularly those in the lounge (Aum, Apple and Sara). The lounge was excellent, with happy hour and afternoon tea available. Not the best spread but as we were the only guests at times it was excellent. The rooms were spacious and elegant, though the layout was a bit off, with the space between the window and the bed a bit cramped. The room.servixe has clearly been a focus...our room.was cleaned twice a day without asking. Location is very central. 10 mins walk to Siam/Ratchathewi BTS. 5 mins to Siam Paragon/Siam Centre. Lovely hotel. Would definitely stay again. It is possibly missing that special pizzazz of some other BKK hotels.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. There were daily changes to the menu. Great! We also had dinner at the hotel and were pleased with their dinner menu as well. Their dinner menu also varied from day to day. The staff were attentive and made improvements after our first day there. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. Very spacious and clean. Our kids liked the suite and the bathtub. The location was ideal, near Siam Paragon and thus walking distance from other malls as well. The staff were excellent, accommodating and answered our questions with smile. They were helpful with arranging transport for our daily travels. Our special thanks to our Indian chef, who made our stay even better, the Indian portion of breakfast and dinner were exceptional. We had a good 5 days at Bangkok, but will remember Chatrium for making it even better.

Chatrium Grand only opened recently and it definitely has a 5 star hotel feel. The hotel is in a great location and they even have a shuttle service to get you to Siam Paragon shopping mall (2 minute golf cart ride). Incredibly spacious rooms that come with complimentary snacks and treats - make sure you check inside the wooden bowls for some sweet treats! Pool and gym facilities were sensational. I’ve never seen such a well equipped hotel gym before. Breakfast buffet is a huge spread of Asian and Western cuisine and was by far the best buffet we’ve had in Bangkok.

The price is a bit high with the quality of service its my second stay n always the reception stuff mess our booking the rooms always late to be given. garbage bin must be in room and toilet.. they should put more effort in cleaning while staying. the Chef (Darius) is a great person got to know him in person but the trained stuff still are lake of practice as the second stay was after 2 months of the 1st n still they cant make an omelet as requested.
